Nuclear Density Gauge Certification Classes

Our Nuclear Gauge Certification classes are approved by the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control.

Authorized User Training is required for anyone operating nuclear density gauges. This 8 Hr. initial training course also includes the Hazardous Materials Transportation (HAZMAT) training, required to transport nuclear gauges. An open book test will be given at the end on the class and required a passing score of 70%.

• Units of Radiation.
• Biological effects of radiation
• Radiation levels from sealed sources.
• Methods of controlling radiation dose.
• Radiation detection instruments.
• State and Federal Regulations
• Licensing and Inspection
• Operating and emergency procedures.
• Transportation

Hazardous Materials Transportation (HAZMAT) training is required for anyone transporting nuclear density gauges and is required by state and federal regulations to be renewed every three years.

We offer the HAZMAT re-certification as a seperate 4 hr. course
